Biography of Jacqueline Bell Johnson

Jacqueline is a Baltimore, Maryland native who moved to California in order to attend California College of Arts & Crafts, where she earned her BFA in Jewelry/Metal Arts in 2004. When she was younger, she had the opportunity to attend an arts magnet high school, where she learned drawing, painting, and ceramic sculpture. She ventured out into every form of art, volunteering as a theatrical scenic painter, designing fashions, filming local theatre and concert events, as well as participating in local art festivals.

In 2004, she relocated with her husband to Chino Hills, where she currently lives and creates. As she puts it, Jackie is an artist without a studio, working in media like graphite, ball point pen, and gouache in her apartment in the meantime. She has been showing her artwork through local galleries across the inland empire and has recently made her way into Hollywood, having three of her sculptures on the set of MTV’s Real World Season 20 to air in 2008.
